Anne-Marie Duff was born in London, England. She is an English actor. After graduating at the Drama Centre London Duff made TV appearances on Trial & Retribution Amongst Women as well as Aristocrats in the late 1990s. Anne-Marie Duff (born 8 October 1970) is a Britsih actor. Anne-Marie Duff is a stage and film actress from the UK. Her first big role was Fiona Gallagher from the UK series Shameless the first two seasons. The Virgin Queen (2006) was her subsequent role. Also, she appeared as the role of Queen Elizabeth I, as well as the lead in From Darkness, a television show in the year 2015. Duff was the role of Enigma in Enigma (2001), The Magdalene Sisters Scandal (2007), Notions on a Scandal (2007) French Film (2008) The Last Station, Nowhere Boy Before Go To Sleep (2014) and Suffragette (2005). In 2015, The Virgin Queen, Shameless The Virgin Queen, Nowhere Boy Suffragette, and The Last Station have earned her BAFTA nominations for Best Actress as well as Best Supporting Actress. The History of Mr Polly (2007) was her BAFTA Cymru Award winning performance as Best Actress.
